Kristin Fisher is joining CNN in 2021. She'll be CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. As an official for the Space and Defense Department, Kristin Fisher covers all aspects of space from NASA to the newly formed Space Force as well as commercial space businesses and tourism in space. Kristin's parents are each NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space, and she has since worked as a White House reporter for FOX News reporting on the Biden and Trump Administrations' positions in space matters. In that time she covered the presidential 2020 campaign, two impeachment trial, two efforts to stop the pandemic coronavirus, and two other administrations' efforts. Her extensive travels with the Vice President and the President included an exclusive trip to Afghanistan, which she took with Donald Trump. Prior to joining the network in, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through the local news channels in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she won an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin's skills as a camerawoman has led her to create Field Mouse Films which specialized in making documentaries for clients of corporate nature, such as Uber Hotels & Resorts, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science Diploma in Journalism from Boston University. Her current residence is Washington, D.C. with her husband, and their three-year old daughter.
